Everything was mostly fine, though I thought it weird that when you would see Sonic and Pac-Man fighting, you didn't see the others, but one could assume they were off-screen fighting. Aside from that, the art was mostly good, along with the animation, my main qualm however was the audio mixing. I'm not expert, but at points I felt the music was too loud along with the sound effects. It was even worse when the star music came in along with the music for the video. Other than the audio, all was well.

Man, I wasn't expecting to be depressed after watching that! Anyway, nice work!

2020 Edit:

Rewatched this and its good all around. I don't know why I said soemthign about it being "simple". I apologize and was quite silly, if not stupid and pompous or assuming. I thought I was being constructive.

Nice work. I love your ability to convey what was going on through mere sounds and what was on the screen. Perhaps its simple to do, but whatever, I enjoyed it, even if it took somewhat of a rather dark turn that I wasn't expecting.

Anyway, hope you get good grades for your animation!

I knew this was going to be totally fucked up but I didn't think it was gonna be like this. The moment it hit me that it was gonna be messed up(you all know) I started laughing and saying, "oh no, no no no no!"

Did not disappoint. Can't wait for the sequel. I think.

Great work in capturing Rick and Morty and capturing Steamboat Willie, though those are things people have already said. My only small complaint is that I felt it went on just a little, i mean a LITTLE, too long. I think it was mainly the piano tune running ragged after a bit. Other than that it was wonderful!

Wow 30 years! I just watched Dragonball for the first time all the way through and loved it, how different it is from DBZ in some ways.

Anyway, the cartoon was great, the art was awesome, the voice work for vegeta was good, i felt sometimes Bulma's was a bit...like when they were talking at their house, unless that was on purpose? Everything else was great.

Seemed interesting at first but it really was nothing. I liked how mario smoking the cigarette seemed to signify his impatience or whatever but it could have been a whole lot more.

FleetAdmiralTony responds:

Im actually gonna make this a little trend for me to work on, like "mario hates mario maker 2" and so on, but I will make much more longer videos in the near future. I just wanna test the waters a bit. Thanks for the review man :D

Superb, as always.

Interesting you have 3 stars (with 77 views currently at my watching). The animation is great, along with the art style. I also find the VHS like effects an interesting choice of things. Not 100% sure if it fits with a theme because I didn't 100% feel like it did. I didn't dislike it, I just felt it was maybe an odd choice, for lack of a better word i guess. As far as the voices, they were okay but sometimes they were flat and not much differentiation between the two characters, though I know they were voiced by the same guy. Maybe one of the voices should have been a bit more...extreme or something just for the sake of difference between the two.

I was going to type more but I cannot remember what I was gonna type.

Gerkinman responds:

The original audio was recorded in 2004, I wanted the look of the short to represent that. At the time me and my friend who originally made this actually handed in our school animation assignments on VHS. I agree the voices could have used more variation, but again, they were recorded over 11 years ago so it would have been difficult to try to alter them.

Thanks for the feedback. ^^

Great enjoyed it! The live bit was a surprise as well!
